OSCAR& NIKE

21 JUNE 2025

We would be absolutely delighted to celebrate with you!

It would mean everything to us if you would join us for our summer solstice wedding at Le Libellule in Olivola, Italy on the 21st of June 2025.

It's party time!

We're so grateful to everyone who is making the trip to celebrate our big day with us, and we would love to make it as memorable as possible.

With the benefit of having our location from Friday to Sunday, this gives us a bit of freedom to curate a beautiful weekend.

For those that would like, we will arrange a wine tasting on Friday afternoon at Le Libellule to sample local red wines. This will give everyone a chance to meet each other before the wedding. For dinner, anyone who would like to, can grab a bite to eat at Ca' Nostra on  Piazza Europa, 50 paces from the venue.

Saturday is the big day! We will begin the ceremony at 17:30, which means there will be plenty of time to explore neighbouring Asti and Monferrato during the day. After the ceremony we will have a cocktail reception and then dinner. Le Libellule features an old wine cellar in its basement that happens to be perfect for dancing late into the night. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes!

On Sunday, there will be an Italian breakfast at Ca' Nostra for those who are up for it before you either continue your Italy holiday or head back home.

We're so excited!

Our Story

We are incredibly fortunate to be able to celebrate with so many of you coming from all over the world! Because everyone is so spread out, we wanted to share a bit about our story with those of you with whom we haven't been able to share it with yet.

Before the pandemic hit Europe, the Klemmer family travelled to Norway. Nike was nearing her bachelor’s graduation and was exploring options when she fell in love with Tromsø. She applied to the Arctic University but missed the deadline and was rejected. A year later, she applied again and was accepted—a fortunate turn of events, as she likely wouldn’t have met Oscar otherwise.

In our small master's program, we quickly became friends. Nike first noticed Oscar when she struggled with a mint package in class, causing a racket. Oscar joked that the "child lock" was working, making her laugh so hard she almost had to excuse herself from the room. We later discovered that our classmates had placed bets on whether we'd become a couple by Christmas.

On the left is a photo from when we went husky sledding—before Oscar's parents knew about Nike. But when they saw the picture, they had a strong suspicion it was perhaps more than just a friendship...

Long before us though, there have been beautiful love stories in our families...

About Oscar

Oscar was born on May 9th, 1998, at Akershus University Hospital near Oslo, Norway. He has an older brother, Victor, and parents, Robert and Kirsti. After high school, he moved north to Tromsø to study law, specializing in the law of the sea, where he met Nike. Although not as well-travelled as his soon-to-be-wife, he walked from Oslo to Trondheim (a distance of 640 km) in the summer of 2020, and is looking forward to tag along with Nike on future travels. He always wanted to study law and now works as a jurist in housing insurance.

About Nike

Nike was born on July 11th, 1999, in Harare, Zimbabwe. She has a younger sister, Meire, a younger brother, Torben, and parents, Andreas and Britta. Although she had never been to Scandinavia before a family vacation, she felt it was a place where she would fit in, both in looks and culture, after spending her life abroad. Now, after more than three years in Norway, she feels more at home than ever. Nike writes books in her free time and shares her parents' 'Fernweh' (a longing for distant places). Unlike Oscar, she didn't plan to study law until just before university. She now works as a jurist in shipping transactions.
